Ingredients for 6 people:500g of dry lentils A chunk of chorizo 1 onion 2 carrots 3 cloves of garlic 1 pinch of chilli flakes Olive oil Salt Pepper Preparation:Chop the onion and the carrot and peal the garlic. Take the skin off the chorizo and cut it into 3 pieces. Put the lentils, chorizo and the vegetables into a pressure cooker. Add some water to cover. Season with salt, pepper and the chilli flakes. Pour in a bit of olive oil. Stir and close the pressure cooker well. Cook on a high heat until the steam comes out. Then change to a low heat and cook for 10 minutes. When done, do not open the pressure cooker until the steam is completely gone. To make this quicker, put the pressure cooker under the cold tap. Then open it and add some water if all has evaporated. Serve with some good rustic bread. Note: If you are vegetarian, just swap the chorizo for a tablespoon of spicy or mild paprika. | ||||
