Ingredients for 4 people:500g of hard bread (2 or 3 days old) Olive oil 5 or 6 garlic cloves 200 gr. of belly pork 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika Preparation:Cut the bread into thin slices (3mm approx) Put the slices of bread into a pan and add a drop of slightly salted water to wet them a little. Cover the pan with a cotton cloth and leave for at least 2 or 3 hours. After that time, heat the oil in a deep pan. Add the diced belly pork and when it is brown add the finely chopped garlic. When the garlic browns, remove the pan from the heat and add the paprika, then add a bit of water and salt. Put back on a high heat and add the bread. Stir continuously, at first quite quickly in order to get a smooth mix. Then lower the heat and continue stirring more slowly until the bread browns, for 20 to 30 minutes approximately. You can serve this dish with fried peppers, fried chorizo or fried bacon. | ||||
