Ingredients for 4 people:1 octopus (about 1 ½ kg) 2 bay leaves 3 garlic cloves 1 tablespoon of spicy or mild paprika 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil 1 tablespoon of marine salt Salt Preparation:Wash the octopus and soften by hitting it with a rolling pin. Boil 2 ½ litres of water in a big saucepan. Add the bay leaves, the salt and the garlic and heat to boil. When boiling, add the octopus and cook for 50 minutes. Remove the octopus, drain and cut into little chunks and put in a big bowl or platter. Sprinkle with marine salt and add the paprika previously mixed with the olive oil. Make sure all the octopus is covered in the paprika oil and leave marinating for approximately 1 hour. Serve in a round wooden dish. | ||||
