Ingredients:300g of flour 150g of margarine or lard 1 tablespoon of sugar 1 teaspoon of baking powder 2 or 3 tablespoons of milk 1 cup of icing sugar 2 egg yolks Fruit jam Preparation:Put the flour, the sugar and the baking powder in a bowl. Put the margarine and egg yolks in the centre and mix well until you achieve a bread crumb texture. Mix this with the milk, mould into a ball, cover and leave to rest for 30 minutes. Roll out the batter on a floured table with a rolling pin. Don't roll out too thinly. Use a medium sized round mould to shape off some biscuit sized portions. Put on a buttered oven tray and cook in the oven on a low heat. When the biscuits are done, put some fruit jam on half of them and put the other half on top. Dissolve the sugar with hot water and put this mixture on the biscuits. Let them cool and serve. | ||||
