Ingredients:750 g of flour 300 g of sugar 1 glass of milk 50 ml of oil 3 eggs 1 grated lemon peel 70 g of anise 15 g of yeast Cinnamon Salt Preparation:Place fifty grams of flour, the salt, yeast and half a glass of milk in a bowl and mix well to form a dough. Then place the ball of dough on a floured plate and cover with a damp cloth. Leave in a warm place until it doubles in size. Mix the rest of the flour, oil, milk, sugar, the eggs, the lemon peel, the anise and a little bit of cinnamon in another bowl. Mix all together with the ball of dough previously prepared and leave for three hours in a warm place. Put the dough onto a floured tabletop and shape into small balls. To give them the typical ring shape, convert the balls into cylinders, roll them up and join the ends together. Then fry them in hot oil and turn them over when they have turned golden. Drain and sprinkle with sugar. They can be eaten hot or cold. | ||||
